RLC has initiated or been involved in many educational activities at Cedar Ridge! We assist with the annual back-to-school "Back Pack" event, and host educational opportunities such as the Ed Jones "Balance Your Budget" seminar to residents needing to embrace better money management skills. RLC helped build community gardens during the summer of 2018, and we continue to teach gardening skills as an educational pathway. This summer we have created a "Children's Garden" as well as personal patio gardens for residents unable to physically walk to or care for a larger garden. It is a blessing to work with Cedar Ridge residents of all ages!

Working with residents at Private Reserve has revolved around helping children succeed on their educational journeys. During the school year, RLC conducts study tables and during the summer months we have "Kid's Club" with each being open to residents of all ages, either as a participant or as a volunteer. Not only do we initiate educational activities during these Tuesday times, we talk about everyday life and how to look at the world through a Christian lens. This is the first year we will participate in the annual back-to-school "Back-Pack" Event at this community. Exciting!

Our mission at Chapel Hill is just getting started, as we work with existing Chapel Hill initiatives such as "John's Friday Night Resident Cook-Outs" and use of the clubhouse as a meeting place for educational or career initiatives. RLC is working in tandem with Ed Jones to present, "Simplify Your Spending and Saving Strategies" to Private Reserve residents on July 20, 2019 from noon-1:30 in the Chapel Hill clubhouse! We are also considering using the clubhouse to create "study tables" for residents of all ages in the fall of 2019. Stay tuned as the Lord continues to reveal his purpose for us at Chapel Hill.
