The Cedar Ridge Community Garden was a huge success! Resident gardeners enjoyed plenty of fresh kale, which is being picked front and center in this picture. Additionally, residents harvested peppers, tomatoes, fresh basil, squash, beets, and cucumbers. New friendships were forged among the gardeners, and it was so much fun to watch children be very curious about how food is grown. Kids wanted to get their hands in the dirt. We let them. They said they felt like farmers. We said, "You are farmers." Looks like the children of Cedar Ridge will have a gardening club next summer!
